Event Catering

Offer your guests something different.  Papouli’s has developed a menu selection that accommodates “the tastes of all generations”. Our family and staff want to make your event a truly unique and memorable experience.  Alternative menu suggestions are always welcome.  Event catering is available through both our Alpharetta and Macon locations.

Freshly Prepared Hours D’ Oeuvres

  • Tiropites (Cheese Puffs) – Triangles of folded filo dough stuffed with a mixture of feta cheese, whipped eggs and herbs, brushed with melted butter and baked until puffed and golden brown.
  • Spanakopites (Spinach Puffs) – Triangles of folded filo dough stuffed with a mixture of spinach, feta cheese, whipped eggs and herbs, brushed with melted butter and baked until puffed and golden brown.
  • Kotopites/Chickotopites (Chicken Rolls) – Chicken breast chopped, marinated, rolled in buttered filo dough and baked to perfection.
  • Sousoukakia (Meatballs) – Hand rolled beef meatballs simmered in our own savory tomato/wine sauce.
  • Athenian Chicken Drumettes – Prime “leg” portions of the wing, seasoned and marinated in Papouli’s famous olive oil/lemon sauce, roasted and served hot.
  • Miniature Steakburgers – Our own special blend of chopped sirloin and chuck, blended with a puree of sweet onion, salt, pepper, steak sauce and egg, browned and placed on a small bun. Served hot.
  • Miniature Cheddarburgers – Our own special blend of chopped sirloin and chuck, blended with a puree of sweet onion, salt, pepper, steak sauce and egg, browned and placed on a small bun. Served hot and topped with cheddar cheese.
  • Broiled italian Sausage – A fine quality Italian sausage, broiled, chunked and frill picked.
  • Open Faced Miniature Sandwiches – Your choice of ham, beef or turkey with lettuce, tomato and a special sauce served on cocktail bread.
  • Fillet Mignon Dijon – A prime roasted Filet of Tenderloin, carved and placed on French bread with a fine dijon mayonnaise. Served cold.
  • Roast Loin of Pork – A boneless loin of pork seasoned and roasted with our own special sauce and served on fresh mini rolls.
  • Honey Glazed and Baked Ham – A freshly baked ham, carved and placed on a mini roll and served with condiments.
  • Imported Red Tail Shrimp – Large size imported shrimp. poached in garlic and wine and served well chilled, with our gallotine red sauce.
  • Baked Seafood Bouchee – Miniature pastry bouchees, filled with a blended seafood mixture of shrimp, crabmeat and scallions, Mornay sauce, Sherry wine and grated cheese, then baked. Served hot.
  • Dolmathes (Stuffed Grape Leaves) – Delicio! Meat stuffed leaves. Delicious rice, raisin and herb mixture wrapped in tender grape leaves and marinated. Served at room temperature.
  • Baked Tomato Bread – Prepared chunks of French bread, dipped in garlic butter, covered with sliced ripe tomatoes, sprinkled with seasoning, grated cheeses, then topped with mozzarella cheese and baked until golden brown.

Salads

  • Greek Salad – Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, feta cheese, Greek olives, pepperoncini dressed with Papouli’s signature homemade oil and vinegar dressing.
  • Horiatiki Salata – A “farmer salad” of tomato, cucumber, red onion, green pepper, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, pepperoncini and anchovies, dressed with Papouli’s signature homemade oil and vinegar dressing.
  • Greek Potato Salad – Potato, green onion and green peppers with an Athenian style dressing.

Trays

  • Fresh Veggie Tray – A seasonal variety of fresh and colorful vegetables arranged around one of our homemade dips.
  • Dexule Fresh Veggie Tray – Add feta and olives.
  • Relish Tray – A combination of sliced tomatoes, green onions, carrots, celery, stuffed olives and pickles
  • Greek Relish Tray – Feta cheese, green and black Greek olives and Salonika peppers attractively presented on a bed of greens.
  • Fresh Fruit Tray – A colorful array of seasonal fruit arranged on a bed of greens.
  • Deluxe Fresh Fruit Tray – Add dried figs and dates
  • Fruit Kabobs – Chunks of seasonal fruit skewered on mini sticks and arranged on a bed of greens.
  • Imported Ham Tray – Delicious imported ham attractively arranged on a bed of greens.
  • Crowd Pleaser Tray – Piled high with imported ham, turkey breast, assorted cold cuts and a variety of cheeses.
  • Executive Tray – Roast beef, turkey breast, imported ham, American and Brick cheese (great for lunch meetings).
  • Nibble Tray – Bite sized portions of gourmet sausages and cheeses ready for your guests to nibble on.
  • Cheese Tray – A variety of sliced or cubed cheeses, attractively arranged.

Main Dishes

  • Moussaka – Layers of potatoes, eggplant and ground beef topped with creamy beacute chamel sauce, baked. Served warm.
  • Pastitsio – Ground beef, macaroni and cheese, topped with creamy beacute;chamel sauce, baked. Served warm, room temperature or cold.
  • Spanikopita – A tasty mixture of spinach, feta cheese and herbs baked between layers of buttered filo dough.
  • Gyros – Beef and lamb gyros thinly sliced
  • Italian Beef – Our own, Chicago style, seasoned beef, roasted and thinly sliced to perfection, and soaked in its’ au jus.
  • Chicken Riganato – Our succulent baked chicken, marinated in olive oil, lemon and herbs.

Spreads & Dips

  • Taramasalata/Petaramasalata – Red caviar spread. Fantastic as a spread for our crusty bread, or as a dip.
  • Feta Dip – A blend of sour cream, feta cheese and seasonings – wonderful on baked potatoes, French fries or as a dip for fresh veggies.
  • Baba Ghanoug – Roasted eggplant whipped with olive oil, lemon, garlic and seasonings.
  • Hoummus – Chick peas, tahini (sesame paste), lemon juice and herbs blended to perfection. Serve with pita chips or crusty bread.
  • Clam Dip – Whipped cream cheese, clams, green onion and spices blended. Great with veggies, pretzels or chips.

Sweets & Pastries

  • Baklava – ayers of finely ground walnuts, between layers of buttered filo, baked and soaked in honey
  • Kataifi – Coarsely chopped walnuts rolled in shredded filo dough and soaked in honey.
  • Galatobouriko – Mouth watering custard between layers of buttered filo, baked and soaked in a sugar based syrup.
  • Kourambiethes – Our delicate hand rolled butter cookie dusted with powdered sugar – a tasty wedding cookie
  • Koulourakia – Our hand rolled butter twist cookie glazed, and sprinkled with sesame seeds – great for snacking and with coffee, hot chocolate or milk.
  • Melomakarona – Spice cookies baked and dipped in honey and sprinkled with chopped walnuts.
